What To Expect From Airport Security

You are going to be seeing a lot of changes this year and next in airport security. TSA'S goal this year is to try to lift some of the restrictions on carrying on board liquids. They are working on limit size of liquids you are allowed to carry on board. Also working on getting rid of having to carry liquids in clear plastic bags.

Many people are complaining of having to throw things away before boarding, then having to buy them again once they reach there destination and having to throw these away again before boarding for their return flight home. Too much waste and expense

New this year, but not yet at all airports is new luggage screening machines that can tell a harmless substance from a deadly explosive device. Most are underground to prevent congestion on upper levels of the airport. Instead of walk through or wand scans ,in the very near future is whole body scanners.

Some major airlines/airports are now requiring your birth date and gender before they will let you even buy a plane ticket.

Airports are now having all airport personal wear head sets or ear phones so they can be in constant communication with each other. This is faster than using a phone system for alerts or a PA system. This also would prevent panic attacks in the public should an emergency arise. They wouldn't know what was happening.
